What is your favorite memory of your time with Tina?

​

After all these years, we have so many wonderful memories with Tina. Mostly, we enjoy just sitting down and having a meal (her house or ours) and talking and laughing with Tina and we became not only best friends, but family!!! My mother also enjoyed our visits with Tina! We especially loved going to see Tina in shows and then also enjoyed the magic in every show she directed throughout the years we've known her. In times past, Tom has many wonderful memories of stage managing many musicals Tina directed at Playhouse 1960 and the Creighton Theater. More recent memories include assistant directing Spamalot at the Creighton Theater and Best Little Whorehouse at the Playhouse 1960 this past year.

What song makes you think of Tina?

​

Tina likes to hear Tom sing Seasons Of Love.

Did you perform in any community theater musicals with Tina? If so, which ones?

​

While I [Linda] never performed in any of Tina’s musicals, I often worked back stage and helped with costumes often. However, Tina did convince Tom to get on stage in Mame and Best Little Whorehouse in Texas and our daughter Jenny was in every show where there was a part for her. Additionally, her brother David would play drums from time to time back in the days of live orchestra shows.

What is the most valuable lesson you learned from Tina?

​

Stay Positive! Be happy and "you are never fully dressed without a smile! "

What did you go on to do in life/career?

​

I became Tina's BFF! Tom became her assistant director and her and Manny's BFF!

​

What is your favorite memory of Manny?

​

After so many years of friendship, (29 years) we have so many favorite memories of Manny. A wonderful memory of Manny was when he chauffeured Jenny for her Quincenera and when he chauffeured David to his prom in his Zimmer! I know Tom has many memories while being Manny's Stage Manager and recently his Assistant Director for RENT and Holiday Inn. Tom and Manny like to go to car shows and work on their cars together. They also like to meet for lunch often.

Is there anything you'd like to say to Tina on the occasion of her retirement?

​

Tina, Our Star, Our Queen, Our Best Friend, We love you like no other and always will!!! We are family!!!

I hope your retirement brings you all the happiness in the world.
