An Auntie Mame to so many of us from the Houston area for more than forty years, Tina Cafeo--singer, actress, director, producer, and starmaker--
opened a new window and a new door for more people
than any of us could ever imagine. This site was originally designed
to be a small THANK YOU to Tina upon her retirement. Unfortunately, on the morning of July 10th, on the heels of Hurricane Beryl, Tina passed away peacefully, with Manny at her side. To my mind, as Beryl turned off the electricity, and the lights went out for more than 3 million people in the Houston area, God set the stage for the exit of one of our brightest lights, Tina Cafeo.
Tina, we miss you already! Please know you are loved and cherished and that we will continue to celebrate the gifts you have given us.
This site will now be a memorial to you and a celebration of the love you have given us, and of the lives you have helped us create. For those of you just seeing this site, we invite you to click on the submit button, below, to share your own memories--photos, videos, and well-wishes. Though Tina left the stage, I have no doubt that she's watching the rest of the show from the wings, practicing her "wingwork" as God's newest angel.
